Bali Weather

The climate in this archipelago on the equator is tropical. In the lowlands, temperatures average between 21°C and 33°C, but in the mountains it can go as low as 5°C. Humidity varies but is always high, between 60 % and 100 %.

In general, Bali experiences two yearly seasons of monsoon winds: the southeast monsoon, bringing dry weather (musim panas - dry season), and the northwest monsoon, bringing rain (musim hujan- rainy season). Often the changing seasons can bring the time of high waves (musim ombak).

Menjangan Island

Menjangan Island located at North West Coast Bali, the island is very quite but very good for diving & snorkeling. Trekking at Bali Barat park also good activities when you stay there.

There are a few dive sites to choose from at Menjangan with good conditions and excellent visibility. It’s also an interesting site for snorkeling. Menjangan also has a wreck , known as the ‘Anker’ because of its heavily encrusted anchor at the top of the reef. Fixed moorings have been built to prevent damag, and the island is reached by a 30 minutes boat ride from Labuan Lalang.

Make Nyepi day world wide, UN Climate Change

The climate change conference in Nusa dua, Bali.  is used by the Balinese to make the nyepi day “day of silent”, to adopt world wide.
as you know, nyepi day is a day of silent when all Balinese Hindu stop all activities including working. no traffic is allowed, not only cars but also people, who have to stay in their own houses. Light is kept to a minimum or not at all, the radio or TV is turned down, and of course no flight. If all of the nation in the world do this,  just 1 day a year, this will lower the emission.

UN Climate Change Open in bali

Delegates and scientists from around the world opened the biggest-ever climate conference Monday,  The 13th United Nations Framework Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) beginning in Bali today.

Some 10,000 conferees, activists and journalists from nearly 190 countries gathered on the resort island of Bali for two weeks of U.N.-led talks that follow a series of scientific reports this year concluding that the world has the technology to slow global warming, but must act immediately.
