Bali Electricity and Plug Adapter

Most of Indonesia has converted to 220 volts and 50 cycles, though a few places are still on the old 110 lines. Ask before you plug in if your are uncertain. Power failures are common in smaller cities and towns. Voltage can fluctuate considerably so use a stabilizer for computers and similar equipment. Plugs are of the European two-pronged variety.

Check with the hotel where you are staying as many have adapters which you can use while staying. there are many cheap adapters in Bali also.  these will probably be cheaper than your home town.

Is Bali gay friendly

The answer is yes. You will find the Balinese to have a very open mind when it comes to most all issues, including human sexuality.

Overt public displays of affection, be the hetero or homo sexual are not appreciated, but in points south and in the bars like Kudos, Hulu Cafe , QBar all in Seminyak area, it’s not that big deal. The one thing that is not tolerated here in any regard is pedophilia.

Malaria and Dengui fever

Some people ask is Bali is a free malaria?, or do i need to have inject for malaria?, here is the answer. bali is not yet “declared free of malaria”, but It is not really necessary to take malaria prevention tablets in Bali, What so far better is to have a prevention program in place where you try to make sure you do not get bitten at all.
